Here’s something I came across today… Paul McCartney’s hand written letter answering an august 8th 1960 ad for a drummer offering his services in the Liverpool Echo. The ad had no name attached to it. This was mere days before the boys left for Hamburg and this particular letter from Macca sold at Christie’s for 35 thousand pounds.
