On this day, Paul and Nancy McCartney attended the premiere of the new documentary “Beatles ’64” in New York City, which was announced on October 14, 2024.

Among the other attendees were Martin Scorsese, the executive producer of the documentary, the documentary’s director David Tedeschi, Disney executive Bob Iger, Sean Ono Lennon, Olivia Harrison, Margaret Bodde, Jonathan Clyde, Emma Stone, Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Andy Cohen, Steven Van Zandt, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

A post-screening Q&A featured Martin Scorsese and David Tedeschi, with actor and Beatles enthusiast Ethan Hawke moderating.

The documentary debuted on Disney+ on November 29, 2024.

The release was a part of a broader marketing plan to celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Beatles’ first visit to America, which also includes the reissue of the band’s early U.S. albums on vinyl.
