Driving to Brighton on the morning of Sunday 2nd June 1963 in a Humber Super Snipe passed a Black Humber which had Roy Orbison, dark glasses and all sitting in back off side passenger seat. Waved and got a response. Followed car all the way tp Brighton Hippodrome Stage Door. Met Roy and told him we were all fans. We did not know that the Beatles would also be on stage that night. Could not get tickets for the show. Roy was very nice to us, not showbiz at all. Remembering this today as it is my 75th Birthday and the years have just flown and it's still ONLY ROCK AND ROLL.
