From the “New World Tour” tour book, remembering the 1989/90 tour:
Montreal was incredible. We’d been playing big arenas and we were suddenly in this hockey arena where Montreal Canadiens play and somehow it felt very small. The atmosphere was incredible, a great night. They’d had a major tragedy happen days before, a multiple murder and the whole city was affected by it and there was an air of relief and celebration about the gig I think because of that. It was the coldest weather we hit too and one of the warmest audiences.
Hamish Stuart
This was the 2nd concert played at Montreal Forum.
