From Wikipedia:

The Oprah Winfrey Show, often referred to as The Oprah Show or simply Oprah, is an American daytime syndicated talk show that aired nationally for 25 seasons from September 8, 1986, to May 25, 2011, in Chicago, Illinois. Produced and hosted by its namesake, Oprah Winfrey, it remains one of the highest-rated daytime talk shows in American television history.

From The Beatles Monthly Book N°262, February 1998:

Paul McCartney was featured in two episodes of the top-rated Oprah Winfrey chat show in America late last year, reports Keith Badman. Filmed in New York on 20th November, the shows included a lengthy interview, in which Paul discussed the Beatles’ coming to America, and his relationship with John and with Linda, plus live-in-the-studio performances and two separate video screenings.

The first 44-minute show was transmitted on 24th November on ABC’s Channel 7, and included Paul singing ‘Young Boy’ and ‘Flaming Pie’, on which he was accompanied by new pre-recorded videos of himself playing the backing tracks (similar to those used last June on TFI Friday). The programme also included the just-completed ‘censored’ version of the ‘Beautiful Night’ video (VH-1 later showed the ‘uncut’ version in a special late-night screening). The Fab theme was continued on ABC that evening when the station’s Eyewitness News, broadcast immediately after Oprah, featured a special report entitled “Why is America still in love with the Beatles?”

The second Oprah show, screened on 14th December, was an edit of the first, and replaced the video of ‘Beautiful Night’ with one for ‘Little Willow’ (shown as part of the promotion of the album Diana, Princess of Wales – Tribute). Footage of Paul taking questions from the studio audience was also included in this version of the show.

Sky 1 broadcast Oprah on 23rd December at 4pm. Look out for further European screenings on the satellite station TM3.
