From paulmccartney.com, March 24, 2012:
Paul will also be returning to Brazil with a show in Florianopolis on April 25th, almost exactly twelve months since his last visit, which brought Rio to a standstill and saw over 1.5 million people tune in online to watch the first ever concert to be broadcast live on the internet across South America.
From NSC Total, April 25, 2012:
Wednesday, April 25, 2012, became a historic date for Florianópolis. With the famous British punctuality, Paul McCartney entered the stage at 9:30 pm and a wave of energy took over the Hangover. The first chords of Magical Mystery Tour could hardly be heard, such was the vibration of the fans. After all, he is a Beatle on Santa Catarina soil.
The feeling is that the public – with about 30 thousand people – knows that it is experiencing a historic moment. The passage of a star of the first magnitude through the capital of Santa Catarina will be marked forever in everyone’s memory.
The repertoire consists of almost 50 years of music. Most of the setlist is marked by Beatles songs, from the times of Beatlemania to the psychedelic of the last records. The expectation is approximately three hours of spectacle.
Thrilled, many cry, embrace whoever is next to them and sing in chorus, mesmerized by Sir Macca. In a few minutes of the show, the charisma of the almost seventies and the capacity for interaction won over the audience.
Paul leads the fans like a conductor, with the naturalness and knowledge of years on the road, to a kind of collective trance and, at the same time, to an individual journey. During the performance, he dances and waves to all sides of the audience. […]
