This Italian song was written by Sergio Endrigo and Sergio Bardotti. It was first recorded by Sergio Endrigo in 1969. Mary Hopkin recorded her version the same year. Her version was recorded at Morgan Studios in London and was produced by Paul McCartney. The recording features Paul McCartney on bass and piano. It was released as the B-side to the single Temma Harbour in 1970. The single was released on the Apple Records label.
