Other message songs to John Lennon

Best Friend” is a song from 1972, recorded live during the Wings European tour in 1972 at the Cine Roma in Antwerp, Belgium, in order to be included on the album “Red Rose Speedway“.

Over the years it was sweetened with acoustic, rhythm and percussion overdubs and even got retitled as “Why Did You Treat Me So Bad?“. It was considered for the aborted Cold Cuts project and was finally officially released in 2011 as part of the Red Rose Speedway Archive Collection.

The song is considered to be a message to John Lennon.
