From Wikipedia:
“Country Dreamer” is the B-side song to the single “Helen Wheels” released by Paul McCartney and Wings on 26 October 1973 in the UK and 12 November 1973 in the US. It was recorded in October 1972, and its country ambiance is similar to “Heart of the Country” from Paul McCartney’s 1971 album Ram.
The song was originally intended to be on Red Rose Speedway when it was to be a double album. It appears as a bonus track on the 1988 CD release of Red Rose Speedway and on the 1993 CD release of Band on the Run included in The Paul McCartney Collection.
I'd like to walk in a field with you
Take my hat and my boots off too
I'd like to lie in a field with you
Would you like to do it too, May?
Would you like to do it too?
I'd like to stand in a stream with you
Roll my trousers up and not feel blue
I'd like to wash in a stream with you
Would you like to do it too?
You and I, country dreamer
When there's nothing else to do
Me, oh my, country dreamer
Make a country dream come true
I'd like to climb up a hill with you
Stand on top and admire the view
I'd like to roll down a hill with you
Would you like to do it too, may?
Now would you like to do it too?
You and I, country dreamer
When there's nothing else to do
Me, oh my, country dreamer
Make a country dream come true
I'd like to climb up a hill with you
Take my hat and my boots off too
I'd like to lie in a field with you
Would you like to do it too, may?
Would you like to do it too?
Would you like to do it too?

The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present
"Country Dreamer" is one of the songs featured in the book "The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present," published in 2021. The book explores Paul McCartney's early Liverpool days, his time with the Beatles, Wings, and his solo career. It pairs the lyrics of 154 of his songs with his first-person commentary on the circumstances of their creation, the inspirations behind them, and his current thoughts on them.
Paul McCartney: Music Is Ideas. The Stories Behind the Songs (Vol. 1) 1970-1989
With 25 albums of pop music, 5 of classical – a total of around 500 songs – released over the course of more than half a century, Paul McCartney's career, on his own and with Wings, boasts an incredible catalogue that's always striving to free itself from the shadow of The Beatles. The stories behind the songs, demos and studio recordings, unreleased tracks, recording dates, musicians, live performances and tours, covers, events: Music Is Ideas Volume 1 traces McCartney's post-Beatles output from 1970 to 1989 in the form of 346 song sheets, filled with details of the recordings and stories behind the sessions. Accompanied by photos, and drawing on interviews and contemporary reviews, this reference book draws the portrait of a musical craftsman who has elevated popular song to an art-form.
