Timeline This song was officially released in 2020
“Here’s To The Nights” is a Ringo Starr track released on streaming platforms in December 2020 (two days before the release of “McCartney III“). It features Paul McCartney on background vocals. The track was included on 2021 Ringo Starr’s EP “Zoom In“.
Diane Warren wrote it: “Here’s to the nights we won’t remember, with the friends we won’t forget.” So it has a beautiful sentiment. It’s about us all coming together, so it seems appropriate for today. Everybody I know, we’ve all had quite a few nights we don’t remember. And we’ve all had them with friends we won’t forget.
All these people joined in and helped me out. We got Paul McCartney, he’s on board. Joe Walsh, Sheryl Crow, Jenny Lewis, Chris Stapleton, Benmont Tench. Dave Grohl, and Ben Harper were the first ones up. Lenny Kravitz came on at the last minute. We got Finneas, Yola, Black Pumas. Corinne Bailey Rae sings her heart out. Everybody has a little shout-out.

Here's to falling on your face
Getting back up and winning the race
Here's to taking it to extremes
Never losing faith in our crazy dreams
Here's to having no fear
Here's to right now, right here
Here's to the nights we won't remember
With the friends we won't forget
May me think of them forever
As the days that were the best
May we mak? some noise togeth?r
Make a beautiful mess
Say we did it all
Here's to reaching for the stars
Hanging out in castles or hanging in the yard
Here's to leaving no foolish deed undone
Moving to the beat of our own crazy drum
Here's to living our lives
Here's to right here, right now
Here's to the nights we won't remember
With the friends we won't forget
May me think of them forever
As the days that were the best
May we make some noise together
Make a beautiful mess
Say we did it all
Here's to making memories, making mistakes
Taking all the blues and making them break
Here's to us being crazy fools
Here's to me, here's to you
Here's to the nights we won't remember
With the friends we won't forget
May me think of them forever
As the days that were the best
May we make some noise together
Make a beautiful mess
Say we did it all
Here's to the nights we won't remember
With the friends we won't forget
May me think of them forever
As the days that were the best
May we make some noise together
Make a beautiful mess
Say we did it all
We did it all
We did it all
We did it all
