From Wikipedia:
“I’m in Love Again” is a 1956 single by Fats Domino. The song was written by Domino and his longtime collaborator, Dave Bartholomew. The single was Domino’s third number one on the R&B Best Sellers list, where it stayed at the top for seven weeks. “I’m in Love Again” also peaked at number three for two weeks on the pop chart. “I’m in Love Again” was a double-sided hit for Domino as the B-side of the pop standard, “My Blue Heaven“.
In 1987, Paul McCartney recorded the song during his Choba B CCCP album sessions. It was first released as a b-side for “This One” single, then on 1991 international edition of Choba B CCCP. From the liner notes of Choba B CCCP:
I’m Gonna Be A Wheel Someday/Ain’t That A Shame/I’m In Love Again
It’s interesting to note that through their individual styles couldn’t be more diverse, when recording their innumerable hits at Cosmo Studios in New Orleans, both Little Richard and Fats Domino employed the very same band of musicians.
The living embodiment of the Crescent City’s rich cultural heritage, Fats Domino has been scoring million-selling hits worldwide since 1949, to the extent that he has amassed more gold record awards than any artist other than Elvis and The Beatles.
There is a timeless consistency common to Domino’s repertoire that attracts successive generations and, without question, Paul McCartney’s understanding of the Fat Man’s special qualities, rendering him the most genuinely skillful of the Big Man’s life-affirming music.
Be it the way he eases comfortably into the brisk characteristic 2/4 New Orleans beat of the confidence-boosting I’m Gonna Be A Wheel Someday, handles the singalong rolling blues Ain’t That A Shame or knowingly defuses the pent-up frustration of I’m In Love Again with one of the greatest of all catch phrases, “Oowee, baby, oowee”, McCartney is in his element.
In 2008, Paul McCartney recorded it again with Klaus Voormann & Ringo Starr; this version appears on Klaus Voormann’s “A Sideman’s Journey“. As explained on WogBlog:
The song he recorded with Paul and Ringo for this project has an interesting story. It’s the old Fats Domino song “I’m In Love Again” (previously covered by Paul on the CHOBA B CCCP album). The reason for this choice was that this was the first ever song where Klaus tried his hand at playing the bass guitar. Klaus made his debut as a bass guitarist sitting next to the stage at the Top Ten Club in Hamburg, borrowing Stu Sutcliffe’s Höfner 333 while The Beatles performed the song.
This new version was recorded at Paul’s studio in Sussex on June 19th 2008, with Paul handling all the other instruments: the piano, organ, harmonica, guitars etc, Klaus played on a Höfner 333 bass guitar. Ringo’s drums were recorded in Los Angeles later.
Yes it's me and I'm in love again
Had no lovin' since you don't know when
You know I love you
Yes I do
And I'm saving all my lovin' just for you
I need your loving and I need it bad
Just like a dog that's goin' mad
Woo-e baby woo-o-e
Baby won't you give your love to me
Eenie meenie and miney-mo
Told me you didn't want me around no more
Woo-e baby woo-o-e
Baby don't you let your dog bite me
Yes it's me and I'm in love again
Had no lovin' since you don't know when
You know I love you
Yes I do
And I'm saving all my lovin' just for you
I need your loving and I need it bad
Just like a dog that's goin' mad
Woo-e baby woo-o-e
Baby wont' you give your love to me
Eenie meenie and miney-mo
Told me you did't want me around no more
Woo-e baby woo-o-e
Baby don't you let your dog bite me
Yes it's me and I'm in love again
Had no lovin' since I don't know when
You know I love you
Yes I do
And I'm saving all my lovin' just for you
Eenie meenie and miney-mo
Told me you didn't want me around no more
Woo-e baby woo-o-e
Baby don't you let your dog bite me.

Paul McCartney: Music Is Ideas. The Stories Behind the Songs (Vol. 1) 1970-1989
With 25 albums of pop music, 5 of classical – a total of around 500 songs – released over the course of more than half a century, Paul McCartney's career, on his own and with Wings, boasts an incredible catalogue that's always striving to free itself from the shadow of The Beatles. The stories behind the songs, demos and studio recordings, unreleased tracks, recording dates, musicians, live performances and tours, covers, events: Music Is Ideas Volume 1 traces McCartney's post-Beatles output from 1970 to 1989 in the form of 346 song sheets, filled with details of the recordings and stories behind the sessions. Accompanied by photos, and drawing on interviews and contemporary reviews, this reference book draws the portrait of a musical craftsman who has elevated popular song to an art-form.
