You Gave Me The Answer - 'Red Rose Speedway' Special
Nov 26, 2018 • From paulmccartney.com
“One More Kiss” is a song by Paul McCartney and Wings from the band’s 1973 album, Red Rose Speedway. From paulmccartney.com, November 26, 2018:
Mary was three or four around this time, so just a little kid. And you know how fathers often fuss over their kids? So I was fussing over her, she was a really cute baby. And I’m fussing away going, ‘Give me a kiss. Come on, give me a kiss!’ And she’d get fed up with me and sort of go: ‘Dad. Alright. But only one more kiss.’ So I got one more kiss… and a song! It suggested a country and western thing. And I was thinking that when we just listened back to it. A country singer should cover it!
Paul McCartney
Only one more kiss
I didn't mean to hurt you little girl
Let's make it one to remember
Only one more kiss
I said a foolish thing last night
I didn't think you'd take it bad
But now I'm on my way again
And just before I go
Only one more kiss
I never mean to hurt you little girl
Let's make it one to remember
Only one more kiss
Somebody's built a home for us
Someday we'll see it standing there
But like the wind that has to blow
I must be on my way
Only one more kiss, I never mean to hurt you little girl
Let's make it one to remember, only one more kiss
Well only one more kiss

With 25 albums of pop music, 5 of classical – a total of around 500 songs – released over the course of more than half a century, Paul McCartney's career, on his own and with Wings, boasts an incredible catalogue that's always striving to free itself from the shadow of The Beatles. The stories behind the songs, demos and studio recordings, unreleased tracks, recording dates, musicians, live performances and tours, covers, events: Music Is Ideas Volume 1 traces McCartney's post-Beatles output from 1970 to 1989 in the form of 346 song sheets, filled with details of the recordings and stories behind the sessions. Accompanied by photos, and drawing on interviews and contemporary reviews, this reference book draws the portrait of a musical craftsman who has elevated popular song to an art-form.

Hi, I have a question about this song. I have seen it listed as "One More Kiss" , but sometimes I see it as "Only One More Kiss". Which one is more accurate, and why is it known as both of those titles?
The PaulMcCartney Project • 6 years ago
Sorry Katie for the late reply. "Only One More Kiss" was the copyrighted title, but the song was finally listed as "One More Kiss" on the album.
