From The Beatles Rarity:

In May of 1989, Paul McCartney released his Flowers In The Dirt album and what a great album it was – one of my favorites, in fact, since the breakup of Wings. Like his previous album Press To Play, Paul put out a lot of related releases of material that was not on the album but was from the same batch of songs. One example is a song called “Ou Est Le Soleil?” […] Another track that was not on Flowers In The Dirt in any form is a song called “Party Party.” Paul put out a VHS tape in 1989 called Put It There that included some footage of the recording of “Party Party” during the Flowers In The Dirt sessions. There was also a special release of Flowers In The Dirt in a boxed facsimile of a trunk called Flowers In The Dirt – World Tour Pack that was packaged with a one-track single of “Party Party.” A shorter edit of the song appeared on a CD released in February 1990 in the U.S. called Paul McCartney Rocks. The Put It There VHS, World Tour Pack or Paul McCartney Rocks versions of “Party Party” could all be considered rarities, but there is an even rarer version of the song.

A 12-inch promo single was released only to club disc jockeys in the U.K. and a few hot spots in the U.S and Europe that contained the longest mix yet of “Party Party” (6:17) on the b-side and the World Tour Pack version (5:36) on the a-side. Both of these versions were mixed by a guy named Bruce Forest. Only 200 copies of this single were ever made and the long version of “Party Party” (known as the Bruce Forest Club Mix) is not on any other release. […]

Lyrics

Well, the party's just begun,

Well, the party's just begun.

Party, party, all night long.

Said, party, party, all night long.

Well, we get rid of the people,

Close all the doors,

Party, party, (oh!) all night long.

Party, party, all night long.

Sock it to me, one time, yeah!

Well,

I'm talkin' to your mom,

I said, party, party, oh yeah, all night long.

Uh, party, party, yeah, all night long.

Uh, uh,

Do-do-do-do-do-do-do it, yeah!

Uh, uh,

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Uh, uh,

Do-do-do-do-do-do-do it, yeah!

Uh, uh,

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

We've had enough of playing,

We played it all day long.

We wanna go to the pub now,

The beat is getting strong.

We said, party, party, all night long.

Party, party, (party, party) all night long.

Come on, wixie boy, hit it for me once!

Uh, uh,

Uh, uh,

Uh, uh, (ooh, party, party)

Uh, uh. (party, party)

Well, we're gonna say goodnight now,

We've had it up to here.

We've been sweatin' and a-singin',

All day long and i'm feeling better.

Party, party, all night long.

Party, party, all night long.

Party, party, all night long,

Party, party, (oh!) all night long.

Party, party, all night long,

Party, party, all night long.

Party, party,

Party, party,

Party, party,

Party, party,

Party, party.

(yeah! all night long)

(party, party)

Party, party, all night long. (party, party)

All night long. (party, party)

(party, party)

All night long. (party, party)

(party, party)

Party, party, (party, party)

All night long.

Party, party, all night long.

All night long.

Party, party, (party)

All night long.

With 25 albums of pop music, 5 of classical – a total of around 500 songs – released over the course of more than half a century, Paul McCartney's career, on his own and with Wings, boasts an incredible catalogue that's always striving to free itself from the shadow of The Beatles. The stories behind the songs, demos and studio recordings, unreleased tracks, recording dates, musicians, live performances and tours, covers, events: Music Is Ideas Volume 1 traces McCartney's post-Beatles output from 1970 to 1989 in the form of 346 song sheets, filled with details of the recordings and stories behind the sessions. Accompanied by photos, and drawing on interviews and contemporary reviews, this reference book draws the portrait of a musical craftsman who has elevated popular song to an art-form.
