50th anniversary releases

In 2017, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, The Beatles’ album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” was remixed and reissued in various formats.

50th anniversary reissues of the next Beatles albums followed with the White Album in 2018, Abbey Road in 2019, and Let It Be in 2020, though the latter’s release shifted to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Solo Paul McCartney releases were also reissued in half-speed-mastered vinyls to mark their 50th anniversary. The “McCartney” album was reissued in 2020, “Wild Life” in early 2022 (even if the original album was released late 1971) and “Red Rose Speedway” in 2023.

“Band On The Run” was reissued in early 2024 (despite the original album being released late 1973) in vinyl and CDs, augmented by an album of rough mixes.
